Helsinki, Finland. In Finland motorsport season got started with VM Motorsport Show, which this year was held at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. Conveniently located right at the beginning of the year, the VM Motorsport Show offered visitors chance to familiarize with various forms of motor racing and to see a different racing vehicles at close range. There were also a plenty of motorsport equipment and accessories available. The star of the show was the star was the Lola Aston Martin LMP1 Le Mans race car.
This was the first time when a genuine LMP1 class Le Mans race car was seen in Finland. In addition to the Le Mans racer, there were also other racing vehicles on the display, like rally cars, karting cars and drag racing vehicles. In Finland rally is naturally the most important form of motor racing in Finland, but luckily not the only one.
